What are my rights as an accident victim?

As of client of Oremland Law Group PC, you are entitled to be treated with courtesy and consideration at all times by your lawyer and the other personnel in the office. You are entitled to an attorney capable of handling your legal matter competently and diligently, in accordance with the highest standards of the profession. If you ever need to speak to the Lawbulldog, you can direct message him on Instagram @Lawbulldog or email him at adam@lawbulldog.com.

How long is the statute of limitations to file suit for a New York personal injury case?

If you have been injured, you should be aware of a legal doctrine called a “Statute of Limitations.” This means you must file a claim or lawsuit within a certain period of time (such as three years from the date of the accident). If you DO NOT file a claim or lawsuit within the specified period of time, you will be prevented from EVER taking legal action. Consult with an experienced attorney like Adam “Lawbulldog” Oremland. He can help you determine when the deadline is for you to file your lawsuit. Besides the filing deadline, there are other important reasons to not delay pursuing your legal claims. The sooner you hire a reputable lawyer like the Lawbulldog, the sooner the lawyer can begin an investigation and preserve evidence to support your case.

How much are your attorney’s fees?

Oremland Law Group PC charges a standard 1/3 contingency fee basis for its work on accident injury cases.  We only get paid our legal fees if we win your case. At the client’s option, we front all of the litigation and processing expenses for the case, which are reimbursed to the firm when your case settles, or after a successful trial and judgment. Should you elect to retain the Lawbulldog as your lawyer, additional questions about legal fees and expenses can be explained in greater detail by Adam when you meet with him in person.

Can I switch my lawyer to the Lawbulldog if I already have a lawyer?

Absolutely. It’s very easy to switch to the Lawbulldog if you already have a lawyer that you’re unhappy with. You will meet with Adam personally to go over your case and he will request your file from your prior lawyer. You NEVER have to speak to that lawyer again and he cannot legally contact you once he’s notified that he’s been fired. The Lawbulldog will take care of everything for you and get your case back on track to win.

Do I owe my previous lawyer money if I switch to the Lawbulldog?

No, you won’t have to pay your prior lawyer anything for your case if the Lawbulldog takes over for you. We will reimburse any costs fronted already by your prior lawyer so you don’t have to pay anything out-of-pocket when you switch to our firm. It’s easy and seamless so you don’t have to worry about anything other than getting healthy again. We got you.

What is my personal injury or insurance claim worth?

Every case is different. The most common element of damages is compensation for conscious pain and suffering including past and future. Additional elements of damages include medical bills, property damage such as that to an automobile in a car accident, lost earnings which are economic damages, and emotional trauma. Contact the Lawbulldog today for a free case evaluation to determine how we can maximize the compensation for your injuries.

On average, how long does it take before a settlement/trial is reached?

A typical injury case takes about a year from the date of accident to settle if the injuries are obvious and there’s no need to litigate the case in court. However, if your injuries are severe and the insurance company is unwilling to pay fair value for your injuries, then commencing a lawsuit could add significant time, often years, to your waiting period for the case to end. It’s important to have an aggressive attorney like the Lawbulldog who knows how to negotiate well and settle your case quickly so you don’t end up waiting years when you could’ve been paid in only a few months.

What if I cannot make it to your office?

Our firm represents many injury victims in all five boroughs of New York City: the Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, Queens, and Brooklyn, as well as Long Island, Westchester County, Rockland County, and upstate New York. If you’re too injured to make it to our office to meet with Adam directly, for your convenience, we will come to your home or hospital in person if possible.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. 100%. Your confidentiality is protected by our office. We abide by the Rules of Professional Responsibility of the New York Bar Association and all client communications with us about your case are kept strictly confidential. We have your back.
